This has been a tough year for getting products from overseas to the US. But if you can’t package your product, you can’t sell it. That’s a bad scenario for everyone from manufacturer to consumer. You need a primary packaging supplier that is working to get a quality product to you quicker and at a fair price.
That is why Carow Packaging made a few key strategic decisions and investments to help our customers succeed. This year we began manufacturing our most popular products, EuroDrop® caps and dropper pipettes, in the USA. By doing so, we are able to significantly reduce lead times, improve quality and lower cost.
To further reduce lead times, we recently announced two new stocking programs - “250K, Right Away” and “Super 10”. These initiatives commit to holding 250,000 of our top EuroDrop skus, and our 10 most requested dropper pipette styles in stock. Since we are manufacturing these items in the USA, they can easily be shipped domestically to you in weeks instead of months, and there are no international shipping costs to worry about.
In addition to reducing lead times, our USA manufacturing offers the highest quality product. We applied our 32 years of product and market knowledge to specifically address product functionality. At Carow, we understand quality issues can cause your company financial losses arising from negative customer experiences, production delays, and product spoilage.
We are proud to be one of the few packaging providers to have a full time Quality Assurance Manager on site. With a process engineering background, he is instrumental in developing new products, and assuring that all our products, whether designed in-house or sourced from another manufacturer, meet the highest quality standards. With his oversight, our state-of-the-art machinery produces a consistent, superior functioning product from the first to last cap of a run.
Lastly, when evaluating your options, don’t forget to take into consideration the Total Cost of Ownership. While some individual line items may appear to be less expensive from other suppliers, you need to factor in international shipping costs, long lead times, inventory holding costs, and exchange rates. The all-in cost could be higher than you think. Our total cost of ownership is often lower than the competition.
